The pop up effect has become a signature of Y/Project, where they extend the front panel of the item with a fabric to create the illusion that when fully pulled out that the front panel is 3 dimensional. Here they did this treatment on a denim mini skirt with a painted metallic foil finish. This skirt features Y/Project branded buttons up the front, as well as 2 pockets. The volume can be reduced by threading a belt through the belt loops which will holt the pop-out close to the waist.
